As of late, I have been experimenting with AI Generated art. Below is a conceptual idea for a more sustainable editorial photoshoot created on Midjourney. The photoshoot features an imagined musical artist named Frieda Velvet, an upcoming singer, songwriter who is using her wide audience reach to support coral reef restoration. Frieda Velvet (an imagined musical artist), comes from a long lineage of singer songwriter's, influenced by the likes of K.D. Lang, Cowboy Junkies, First Aid Kit, Khruangbin, June Carter & Rosalia.
Born in Austin, Texas, Velvet started writing lyrics at the tender age of five, recently picking up the autoharp from the comforts of her corduroy seated tour bus.
After a whirlwind world tour across America, Frieda wanted to create a peaceful oasis to write her upcoming album as well as using the space as an oceanography research base.
Velvet built a floating house & recording studio 'Le Poisson Aquarium' currently anchored in the middle of the Indian ocean. Along with a purpose built underwater Scuba Submarine Sound Studio Sanctuary made with reused materials where she is recording soundscapes of underwater sea life for the album. Frieda is working with a small team of marine biologists and scientists who are doing research on regrowing coral reefs, using the floating house as a base.
Frieda normally resides in Montreal, Quebec her album is scheduled to hit the charts this summer, 40% of album sales will go to coral reef and ocean conservation. The new meditiative album will be sold on all major music, downloadable, outlets including Apple, Spotify and Bandcamp.
